The Korea MICE Association complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws and regulations to lawfully process and securely manage personal information in order to protect the freedom and rights of data subjects. Accordingly, pursuant to Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, we establish and disclose this Privacy Policy to inform data subjects of the procedures and standards regarding the processing and protection of personal information and to ensure that related complaints can be handled promptly and efficiently.
➊ The Korea MICE Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Association") collects and processes only the minimum personal information necessary for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. The personal information being processed will not be used for any purpose other than those stated herein. If the purpose of use changes, the Association will take necessary measures, including obtaining separate consent, in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

➋ The Association processes personal information only within the scope specified in the purposes of processing personal information. Personal information is provided to third parties only in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as with the data subject’s consent or where specifically provided for by law. ➋ When entering into outsourcing agreements, the Association specifies in written documents, such as contracts, matters concerning the prohibition of personal information processing beyond the purpose of the outsourced work, technical and administrative protection measures, restrictions on re-outsourcing, management and supervision of contractors, liability for damages, and other responsibilities pursuant to Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act. The Association also supervises whether contractors process personal information securely.
➌ Pursuant to Article 26(6) of the Personal Information Protection Act, if a contractor re-outsources the Association’s personal information processing tasks, the contractor must obtain prior consent from the Association.
➍ If there are any changes to the details of outsourced tasks or the contractors, the Association will disclose such changes promptly through this Privacy Policy.
➊ When personal information becomes unnecessary due to the expiration of the retention period, the achievement of the processing purpose, etc., the Association destroys such personal information without delay.
➋ Where personal information must continue to be retained under other laws even after the retention period consented to by the data subject has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved, the Association preserves such personal information by transferring it to a separate database (DB) or storing it in a different location.

➌ The procedures and methods for destroying personal information are as follows.
1. Destruction Procedure:The Association selects the personal information for which grounds for destruction have arisen and destroys it upon the approval of the Association’s Chief Privacy Officer.
2. Destruction Method:Personal information recorded and stored in electronic file format is destroyed in a manner that renders the records irreproducible, and personal information recorded and stored on paper documents is destroyed by shredding or incineration.
➊ The Association takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information.
1. Administrative Measures: Establishment and implementation of an internal management plan, operation of a dedicated organization, and regular employee training
2. Technical Measures: Management of access rights to the personal information processing system, etc., installation of an access control system, encryption of personal information, and installation and updating of security programs
3. Physical Measures: Locking devices to control access to personal information storage areas
➊ The Association uses “cookies” that store and frequently retrieve usage information in order to provide users with individualized services and convenience.
➋ Cookies are small pieces of information that the server (http) used to operate the website sends to the user’s computer browser, and they are stored on the data subject’s PC or mobile device.
1. Purpose of Using Cookies: Cookies are used to provide users with optimized information by identifying their visit and usage patterns for each service and website visited, popular search terms, whether secure access is used, and so on.
2. Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Cookies: Users can configure settings such as allowing or blocking cookies through their web browser options.
3. If you refuse to store cookies, you may experience difficulties in using customized services.
➊ Data subjects may, at any time, exercise rights against the Association such as requesting access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of the processing of their personal information.
➋ Such rights may be exercised against the Association in writing, by email, or by facsimile (FAX), etc., in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Association will take action thereon without delay.
➌ Rights may also be exercised through a representative, such as the data subject’s legal representative or a duly authorized agent. In this case, you must submit a power of attorney in the form set out in Annex No. 11 of the “Notice on Methods of Processing Personal Information.”
➍ The right to request access to and suspension of the processing of personal information may be restricted pursuant to Article 35(4) and Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
➎ Where the relevant personal information is specified as subject to collection under other laws, you may not request the deletion of such personal information.
➏ Where the data subject has consented to the making of an automated decision, has been informed in advance through a contract or the like, or where the matter is clearly provided for by law, refusal of such a decision is not permitted, and only requests for explanation and review are available.
- In addition, a request to refuse or for an explanation of an automated decision may be denied where there is a justifiable reason, such as a risk of unfairly infringing on the life, body, property, or other interests of another person.
➐ The Association verifies whether the person exercising the rights is the data subject themselves or a duly authorized representative.
➑ You may exercise your rights with the departments listed below. The Association will strive to ensure that the exercise of data subjects’ rights is processed promptly.

➐ Measures Regarding Data Subjects’ Requests Such as Access to Video Information
- With respect to your personal video information, if you wish to request access, confirmation of its existence·or deletion, you may do so at any time to the operator of the mobile video information processing device . However, this is limited to personal video information in which you were recorded.
- Where a request is made for access to, confirmation of the existence of·or deletion of personal video information, the Association will take the necessary measures without delay.
➑ Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Video Information
- The personal video information processed by the Association is managed securely through measures such as encryption. In addition, as an administrative measure to protect personal video information, the Association grants differentiated access rights to personal information, and in order to prevent the forgery·alteration of personal video information, the Association records and manages information such as the date and time the personal video information was created and, at the time of access, the purpose of access ·the person who accessed it·and the date and time of access. In addition, locking devices are installed to ensure the safe physical storage of personal video information.
